One UI 8.5 Makes Samsung History

Ana sayfa / News

Samsung has transformed the One UI 8.5 beta program, which it launched in December 2025, into the longest-running and most extensive software testing process in company history. Initially limited only to the Galaxy S25 series and not opened to other devices for three months, this program has grown exponentially as of March 2026.

In light of current data, 21 different Samsung Galaxy devices are now included in this beta process. In a move unseen in previous versions, the company has incorporated entry-level and mid-range phones into the process, taking the One UI 8.5 beta program to its peak in terms of user base.

Beta Program Reaches a Wide Range of Devices

The One UI 8.5 beta program experienced an unexpected expansion, particularly with the addition of models like the Galaxy A55, A36, and A35. Samsung, which proceeded with a more limited device list in previous versions, decided to collect user feedback from a much wider spectrum this time. The list includes the S23, S24, and S25 series, as well as three different generations of FE-series phones.

With support for a total of 21 devices, Samsung has surpassed all past One UI beta releases.

Why Did the Process Take Longer Than Expected?

While the length of the program has raised questions for some users, Samsung’s determination is noteworthy. The ninth beta version has been reached for the S25 series, recording it as the highest number of beta updates provided for a single device.

Continuing the process despite the absence of critical bugs in the software shows that Samsung is aiming for a stable and optimized end-user experience. Users seem to agree that the new features offered with One UI 8.5 will be worth the wait.

As Samsung completes its preparations for the stable release in the coming period, users expect to see the fruits of this intensive testing process on their devices. The company continues to strengthen its ecosystem with this meticulous attitude toward software updates.
